Everytthing is fine but....
The unit was received within a week (as promised). When we put a battery in the battery charging slot the charger didnt see the battery (as defined by the flashing lights). Upon inspection of the charger I found the brass charging fingers were not in the proper position. I opened the base, repositioned and secured the fingers. The unit now works as intended. Have no further issues.

Good for three functions
I am able to charge spare battery and dock phone at same time charge it, and when connected via the USB to my PC I am able to sync with my Blackberry desk top software.
I had a similar rattle that turned out to be a metal weight that is glued to the bottom of the unit for ballast. I removed it. My led works.

Good for one purpose only
The Tour has a micro USB connector, the cable has a mini, so you cant plug the cable into the phone directly for whatever reason. I like the spare battery charger. Theres something rattling around inside and loose, but it still works. Theres a hole in the front that might be for a light that the instructions seemed to imply, but perhaps its attached to the loose part inside.

Did not charge devices.
The cradle enabled connection from BlackBerry to Laptop, but was unable to charge either the BlackBerry or the spare battery. BBS promptly issued a RMA and shipping lable for return.

When I first bought my Blackberry Tour a year ago, I bought a cradle. Didnt work well and stopped using it. Then I bought this cradle/charger and really like it. It is easy to mount and remove the Blackberry, easy to connect and disconnect, and there is an LED which shows all phases of charging from a heavy load to fully charged by different blink rate and colors. It even charges a spare battery.
I believe that this is an exceptional value as you get the cradle, a full 100/240 VAC wall charger which can be used internationally, and a micro USB cord, all for one low price. Wonderful purchase!! No regrets
